Algonquin Commons Theatre

Parking & Transportation:

Parking for the Algonquin Commons Theatre (ACT) is located just outside the venue. There are multiple accessible parking spots along the area closest to the venue entrance. There's also a spacious drop off zone at the venue entrance.

The ACT is located within Algonquin College's Ottawa campus in Building E - Robert C. Gillett Student Commons.

Accommodations are made on a case-by-case basis. As long as there is not a specific ticket type with priority access, any persons who has identified themselves to Theatre staff will be granted access into the venue first.

When entering the main commons doors, there are no stairs. There are multiple doors with the far left one being an automatic, touchless sensor activated door. once inside the building, the theatre is to the left. There are no stairs with railings to the theatre lobby and main level entrance as well as a ramp that gives access to the same area.

Is There A Designated Accessible Seating Area? Yes, there's an accessible seating area
Accessible Seating Area Details

There are multiple designated accessible seats available to patrons. Specifically, the wheelchair-accessible seats are two standard seats that are removed to make space for a wheelchair to fit comfortably. These seats have great sightlines of the stage.

Balcony Details:

There is an elevator just past the Algonquin Commons Theatre Box Office that gives access to the Balcony level.

Persons requiring specific accommodations should contact the Algonquin Commons Theatre Box Office and, if possible, necessary arrangements will be made for you to attend the event in a comfortable and enjoyable manner.

Accommodations for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Patrons:

Hearing assistance systems are free of charge and can be reserved in advance through the ACT Box Office. aside from reservation, they are available on first-come first-served basis. A major credit card is required as a security deposit when signing out the device.
