There is parking nearby Terminal 5 and you can use the following website to schedule a spot in advance for the night of your show: parkwhiz.com/terminal-5-parking. This site aggregates parking spots available in the area so you can choose how close you’d like to be to the venue, and reserve in advance. They can, however, be pricey and are usually 10+/hour. Additionally, the closest subway stop is Columbus Circle which is equipped with elevators and escalators. This station has the A, B, C, D, and 1 trains. Terminal 5 is an estimated 12 minute walk from the subway.

If you contact the venue beforehand, they generally have no problem helping you get early access to the building. The best way to do this is to call the box office at (212) 582-6600. They are available to answer questions any night there is a listed show, or the night of the show beginning about an hour before doors.

Yes, there are stairs inside the venue, but there’s an access elevator for those who cannot use stairs and their guests. Merch is almost always is past the elevator on the first floor, so if you’d like to look at that I suggest you do so before making your way upstairs, if you choose to do so. There are three levels at Terminal 5. The best sight line for those in wheelchairs is the 2nd or 3rd floor along the railing, and those floors have first-come-first-serve seating as well.
Accessible Seating Area Details
The venue does and will create an ADA section, usually along the second floor balcony on nights where it is requested. To do so, call the box office at (212) 582-6600 during any listed show hours, or one hour before doors the night of the show you’re attending. The railing is metal bars, connected and “fenced in” by three single metal wires running horizontally. Because of this it is very easy see the stage both below and above the railing.

However, driving to The Wharf may not be the fastest way to get there due to frequent special events, traffic congestion, and limited parking. If you are on a mobility device, you will be given a spot to park along the wall. They stagger people so everyone can see well. If you’re walking on crutches, they will give you and your guest folding chairs and ask if you do stand up to do so in a way that doesn’t block others behind you, which is helpful. They will help get water for you and check in during the set. The one down side is if you’re invisibly disabled, venue security wants a doctor’s note/”proof” of disability – when I got hassled, a paramedic came to talk to me and once I described my condition, she immediately waved them off and the idea of a note and took me right in. I would suggest if invisibly disabled that you write an email a week in advance (they take 3 days to reply from my experience).”

The balcony is the designated ADA area, but if you choose to sit on the floor, staff will usually do their best to accommodate you and get you in a safe place where you can still see. If you cannot stand during the show, the patrons in these boxes completely obstruct the view.

The venue has its own lot. There are no designated spots, so just notify the parking attendant that you need accessible parking and show your card. They’ll direct you to park in the first row of cars where “Star Parking” passes park right in front of the entrance.

“There is a space reserved for accessible seating. Visual from the stage is pretty good. There aren’t any seats there last I saw, I believe it’s meant to serve as a spot for wheelchairs, so if you’re someone that needs a place to sit, ask them to let you in early so you can grab a seat along the bar in the back or stage right. Both spots have a great view of the stage. My mom usually opts for the chairs stage right.”

There is a bar in way of sight, so unless you look between the bars or are in a wheelchair with good height might be problem. For one patron they experienced the VIP section being in front of and blocking the ADA section.

All guests with hearing complications are welcome to request ASL or audio description services. We require notice two weeks in advance for ASL and AD. Should a louder volume be the only assistance required, assistive listening devices are available at every amplified performance for free at the concierge desk. Every Saturday matinee in our Broadway series is ASL interpreted and audio descriptions available.

Sensory Accessibility We also have a quiet space in our two larger theaters for anyone who may be feeling overstimulated. We are an autism certified center and all staff and volunteers must complete annual training to maintain this qualification. Some of our programming is also sensory friendly. Lights are kept at a glow and music volumes adjusted along with run times to suit an audience who may not be able to handle a full performance but would still like to participate in the arts. We also offer performance education classes for children on the spectrum.
Additional Comments:
EMT and PD officers are on site for large performances should any medical assistance be required. We inclusively hire and as of such, three persons with physical or mental disabilities are in our front of house usher team and are thus able to pass along any tips and tricks to guests and let us in the admin team know of any difficulties they experience while traversing through the theater and lobby spaces.

There is limited street parking available in the area surrounding Kings Theatre. The public parking lot located behind Kings Theatre (Tilden Ave between Flatbush Ave and Bedford Ave) is now re-opened and available for first-come, first-serve parking through midnight (please note that this lot is independent of the theatre so the Kings is not liable for vehicles in this lot).
The venue strongly encourages patrons to take public transportation or Taxi/Uber/Lyft (accessible drop off points in front of the theater) when visiting Kings Theatre. Visit the MTA site for directions or to inquire about Access-a-Ride.
The nearest subway stations to Kings Theatre include the Q at Beverly Road (not an accessible station); and the 2/5 at Beverly Road (not an accessible station). Although a bit further, the 2/5 at Church Av is an accessible station.
Nearest MTA Bus Routes to Flatbush Ave: B103, B41, B49, and BM2.
Bag Policy: Bags must be 18”x14”x9” or smaller to be permitted into the building. Oversized bags including hiking backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc. will be prohibited from entry into the Theatre. All bags will be thoroughly searched by our security team upon check in.

Shows at Kings can be all seated or a mix of seated and standing (this is noted on the ticketing page). Shows that include a General Admission pit are for standing room-only. A majority of seats in the theatre will remain while the first 16 rows will be removed for the pit.
For seated shows, all seats will remain in place.
For mobility device users, accessible seats will be on the sides of the theatre on the main level. The entire theatre is angled to provide optimal views of the stage from all directions.
